Blank-Side Mechanisms

Baffle Arms for IS Machines

The baffle arm carries the baffle over the blank mould and holds it square and on centre while the parison is formed.

On the blank side, the baffle arm swings in on every cycle, seats the baffle on the blank mould and holds it there while the parison forms — counterblow on a blow-and-blow job, plunger press on press-and-blow. Then it lifts clear before invert. The job is positional repeatability. Set the baffle off centre, or let it rock, and the parison forms unevenly. That fault follows the container through to the blow side.

That repeatability lives in details you cannot see from the outside: sound castings, pivot bores and bushings machined true, and joints that stay tight through a full campaign of hot, dusty cycling. KVG machines baffle arms to customer drawings for SG, DG, TG and QG sections, so the assembly mounts and links up with the mechanism already on your machine.

What you get

Built for Repeatable Production

Positioning You Can Repeat

The baffle lands in the same place on every cycle, so parison shape stays consistent across the section.

Bushings and Pivot Bores

Pivot bores, bushings and wear faces are machined and fitted so the arm swings without slack and holds alignment as the campaign runs on.

Built to Your Drawing

We read and edit digital drawings in-house and machine to your part references, so the arm interchanges with your existing equipment.

Material Chosen Per Job

We work in cast iron, SG iron or aluminium, chosen against the loads and heat the assembly sees.
