Mechanism Wear Parts
An insert is the replaceable wearing face inside an arm or mechanism — it carries the seating, clamping and pivoting duty so the parent casting keeps its geometry.
Arms and mechanisms on an IS machine run hot and repeat the same motion against the same surfaces. Inserts localise that wear. The insert carries the contact and the seat; the arm body carries the geometry. When an insert is worn you change the insert, and the assembly comes back to its original centres instead of going to scrap.
Fit is the whole job. An insert that sits slack in its seat lets the arm move where it should not, and that movement reports straight into the ware. We read and edit digital drawings in-house and machine to your print, in matching sets, so every cavity on a section holds the same centres as its neighbour.
What you get
The insert takes the rubbing, seating and clamping duty, so the arm casting keeps its bores, faces and centres in service.
Supplied as matched sets for SG, DG, TG and QG layouts, so mating parts land on the same centres.
We read and edit digital drawings in-house and machine to your print, in cast iron, SG iron or aluminium as the part calls for.
Inserts are made to seat in your existing IS-machine arms and mechanisms, without reworking the assembly around them.
