Moulds & Mould Equipment
The mould holder carries the mould halves on the section, sets their alignment to the machine, and clamps them closed through every forming cycle.
A mould holder locates the mould to the section, and it holds both halves closed on the parting line while the glass is formed. Both jobs come down to the same machined features: the bores, the pivot faces and the clamping faces. Get them right and the halves meet on the same plane, cycle after cycle. Get them wrong and the seam shows it.
Holders are built for the blank side and the blow side, in single, double, triple and quad gob layouts, and to the mounting geometry of the section hardware you already run. Cast iron, SG iron or aluminium, as the job requires. We read and edit digital drawings in-house, machine to your drawing, and verify critical dimensions against it before the holder leaves the shop.
What you get
Bore positions and locating faces are machined to the drawing, so the holder sits on the section without coaxing.
Pivot and clamp faces are finished so the mould halves close on the same plane, which is what keeps the seam clean.
Holders are made for either side of the section, in cast iron, SG iron or aluminium as the job requires.
Digital drawings are read and edited in-house, so a repeat holder matches the holder it replaces and fits your existing equipment.
