Blow-Side Mechanisms

Blow Head Arms

The blow head arm swings the blow head down onto the blow mould for final blow, then lifts clear so takeout can reach the container.

On the blow side, the arm carries the blow head from its rest position onto the closed blow mould and holds it there while final blow air forms the parison against the cavity wall. It takes its motion from the machine through roller followers and pivots on bushed centres. Timing, seating and lift all depend on that linkage staying tight.

An arm with worn bushes or slack roller followers lets the blow head land off centre. The ware shows it as damaged finishes, thin or unevenly distributed glass where air escapes at the seat, and section-to-section variation. We machine the arm and its bushes to hold pivot geometry under repeated impact. We read and edit your digital drawings in-house and build to interchange with the equipment already fitted.

Blow Head Arms for container glass IS machines, manufactured by KVG Enterprises

What you get

Built for Repeatable Production

Square Seating

The arm holds the blow head concentric with the mould bore, so final blow air goes into the container, not out at the seat.

Bushed Pivot Centres

Pivots run on fitted bushes, so the swing stays repeatable and wear collects in a serviceable bush rather than the arm body.

Roller Followers

Followers are matched to their tracks so the arm takes its motion cleanly, without the knock that works a linkage loose over a campaign.

Built to Your Layout

Supplied for SG, DG, TG and QG sections, machined to your drawings and interchangeable with the arms already fitted on the machine.
