Blow-Side Ware Handling
The take-out grips the blown container at the blow mould, lifts it clear and swings it out to the deadplate, where the ware stands to cool before sweepout.
Take-out is the first thing to grip the container after it is blown, and the ware is still hot and soft enough to mark. The tongs close on the finish, lift it clear of the blow mould, and the arm sweeps it across to the deadplate before releasing it upright. That grip-lift-swing-release sequence repeats every cycle the section runs.
None of that is forgiving. Worn pivots, slack bushes or an arm that has lost its set show up as tong marks, leaners on the deadplate and ware dropped at the transfer. We read and edit digital drawings in-house and machine arms, tongs and mechanism bodies to your drawing, in cast iron, SG iron or aluminium as the job requires, and to interchange with the take-out equipment already on your sections.
What you get
Arm bodies, tongs and the driving mechanism come from the same shop, so parts that must work together are made together.
Tong jaws and pivot centres are machined so the grip closes square on the finish and releases the ware upright.
Pivot bores, pins and bushes are cut for a close running fit, because slack at the pivots becomes movement at the jaws.
Built to interchange with the take-out equipment on your existing IS machines, across SG, DG, TG and QG layouts.
